All Roads Lead to Gazgolder

All Roads Lead to Gazgolder is a visual journal of a 30,000km journey, two thirds of the way around the world. In 2016 old friends and strangers drove a tiny Fiat from London to Ulan Ude and back, through Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia. The natural finale, Gazgolder, found them 25,000km down the road from where they started. The journey crossed the borders of 24 sovereign states. The borders and the landmass of these countries were crossed at a time when freedom of movement is challenged, fear and populism is informing isolation and nations across the world are becoming insular. The best thing we can do to stop this - is let people see for themselves how others live and how similar we all are.
